outbreak of an illness

At the beginning of 2007, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and my first treatment was Pentasa and Ilicoron (a bowel preparation).

Prior to taking these drugs, I had diarrhea about 10 times a day and almost always had blood in my stools.

After about a week of taking Pentasa and ilicoron, his condition improved. The bleeding stopped, the stools became firmer, and the frequency of stools subsided to about 3-5 times.

When a person, especially a mentally weak person like me, feels less ill, he or she immediately becomes optimistic that “it will get better.” I immediately returned to my healthy state of mind, eating the foods I had been careful to eat and drinking the alcohol I had been refraining from.

I was able to maintain a state of remission for about two weeks, but gradually my stools became more frequent and softer, and eventually I began to have bloody stools, returning to my previous state.
